In this truly inspirational memoir, Danica describes the near death experience she had as a result of a suicide. Danica recounts the stories of her childhood that led to that point, the violence and physical abuse she encountered, and her experiences of sleeping on the streets as a teenager. She shares how her love of learning, and her love of the early 1990s rave scene kept her alive – partying, shining and laughing, until a combination of difficult events, including failing to achieve her life’s dream, led to her choosing to leave this Earth from a park in Manchester.
Describing the sheer miracle of having survived, and the beautiful experience of being met by an angel who told her that she couldn’t go through, and how she (like all of us who are alive) had work to do in the world, Danica narrates the conversation they had about why her life had been challenging, and what she needed to know about her journey on her return.

I bought this book not knowing what to expect. It was a truly beautiful read, Danica writes with such levity about so many very difficult issues. Danica's lightness of touch and empathetic humour in her writing enabled me to relate to experiences which were outside of my own. I then found myself reflecting on my own life and its various twists and turns. Thank you so much Danica, I'm sorry about so much heartache, and feel truly humbled and dazzled by your overwhelming sense of love and gratitude. I"m very much richer for reading this memoir.

I read this book as soon as my wife had finished it. I have to say it was so engaging that I finished it in two nights! It’s actually like Danica is sat having a conversation with you, making you laugh and cry at the same time with such wonderfully vivid anecdotes.
